A TIMOTHY SHAWN McGAVIN LODGE nasceu com a missão de unir, fortalecer e servir a crescente comunidade maçônica brasileira em Massachusetts. Fundada sobre os princípios da fraternidade, tradição, inclusão e aperfeiçoamento pessoal, a Lodge representa um marco histórico dentro da Maçonaria do estado e um importante passo na construção de uma comunidade cada vez mais integrada e acolhedora.
Criada com base nos princípios de liderança, fraternidade e dedicação à comunidade, a TIMOTHY SHAWN McGAVIN LODGE teve como seus três primeiros pilares fundamentais o RW Sérgio Roberto DeAssis, o Wor. Roselmo Pessote e o Bro. Matt Krevonis. Unidos pelo compromisso de fortalecer a Maçonaria brasileira em Massachusetts, eles desempenharam papel essencial na formação, estruturação e consolidação da Lodge, sempre preservando os valores, tradições e princípios da Grand Lodge of Massachusetts.
A TIMOTHY SHAWN McGAVIN LODGE foi oficialmente autorizada em 2026 pela Grand Lodge of Massachusetts, tornando-se símbolo de progresso, diversidade e união dentro da Fraternidade. Seu nome foi escolhido em honra ao Most Worshipful Timothy Shawn McGavin, Grand Master da jurisdição à época de sua fundação, reconhecendo seu apoio à inclusão e ao crescimento da comunidade brasileira na Maçonaria.
Desde sua criação, a Lodge foi estruturada com o compromisso de manter absoluta regularidade maçônica, fidelidade ritualística e forte atuação fraternal. Mais do que uma Lodge, ela foi concebida como um verdadeiro lar maçônico, um espaço onde irmãos possam encontrar conhecimento, pertencimento, amizade e crescimento pessoal.
A história da TIMOTHY SHAWN McGAVIN LODGE também está diretamente ligada a importantes conquistas da comunidade brasileira em Massachusetts, incluindo a realização do primeiro grau em português e a tradução oficial dos materiais ritualísticos para o português brasileiro, avanços que ajudaram a abrir um novo capítulo para a Maçonaria multicultural dentro da jurisdição.
Hoje, a TIMOTHY SHAWN McGAVIN LODGE continua comprometida com sua missão de formar homens melhores, fortalecer os laços fraternos e servir à comunidade com integridade, respeito e espírito de caridade.
A Lodge realiza suas comunicações regulares no histórico Woburn Masonic Building, integrando o 13th Masonic District da Grand Lodge of Massachusetts, e permanece dedicada a construir um legado duradouro para as futuras gerações da Maçonaria.

About the process of creation of the seal
Section 1. Seal. The seal of the Lodge shall consist of a shield supported by two classical columns. Above the shield shall appear a ribbon bearing the name “Timothy Shawn McGavin Lodge,” surmounted by a radiant triangle enclosing the All-Seeing Eye. Beneath the triangle shall rest a Grand Master’s colonial tricorne hat, below which appears a radiant sun. Centered within the shield shall be displayed the Square and Compasses. In the lower portion shall appear an open Volume of the Sacred Law, together with a trowel and a honeycomb bearing the Roman numerals III, V, VII, and IX, accompanied by a bee and the number “92” enclosed within a triangle. The designation “A.L. 6026” and “A.F. & A.M.” shall be inscribed along the lower border of the shield. The principal colors of the seal shall be purple and blue, enriched with gold embellishments throughout.
Section 2. Explanation. The emblem of Timothy Shawn McGavin Lodge reflects the core principles of Freemasonry, honoring tradition, leadership, unity, and moral integrity. At the top, the golden scroll bearing the Lodge’s name represents continuity and the preservation of Masonic values. Beneath it, the All-Seeing Eye within the radiant triangle signifies the presence of the Great Architect of the Universe and the constant pursuit of light and truth.
The two columns recall the pillars of Solomon’s Temple, symbolizing strength and stability. At the center, the Square and Compasses represent morality, discipline, and the guiding principles of Masonic life. The purple shield conveys dignity and commitment to the protection of truth and brotherhood.
The Lodge bears the name of the Ninety-Second Grand Master of Masons in Massachusetts in recognition of his leadership and his historic role in permitting the formation of this new Lodge, which is dedicated to serving the Brazilian community and the greater community at large.
The bee carrying the number 92 symbolizes industry, unity, and collective effort, reflecting that such achievements are sustained by Brethren working together in harmony. The honeycomb represents order and structured cooperation, with each cell forming part of a greater design. The flowing honey symbolizes the fruits of united labor and the lasting rewards that arise from discipline and shared purpose.
The Roman numerals within the hexagonal polygon represent progression, growth, and the structured journey of Masonic development and the composition of a Lodge. They also reflect the degrees and the continual advancement from the initial attainment of knowledge to a far greater understanding.
The trowel symbolizes brotherly love and the binding force that unites the Brethren. It represents the spreading of harmony and the cementing of unity within the Lodge.
Below the central chapel appears the rising sun, symbolically representing the Grand Master through light and wisdom. The sun signifies illumination, guidance, and the removal of ignorance. It reflects the principle that true leadership brings clarity, direction, and enlightenment to those under its influence.
Together, the elements of the emblem present a unified expression of leadership, structured growth, disciplined labor, and the light of wisdom guiding the Lodge.
